说到“无语”的英文表达，可能很多人脱口而出“No words”，这可不是正确的表达方式哦，接下来我们就看看有哪些说法吧。

“No words” 表示 “尽在不言中”。
例句：
No words can fully express my gratitude.
千言万语也难以表达我的感激之情。
我们常用的“Have nothing to say”可以表达无语，或是speechless来表达“因为厌恶或者吃惊而无语”。那么，还有哪些词语可以表达“无语”呢？
1. Speechless
Speechless表示因为厌恶或者吃惊而无语。
If you are speechless, you are temporarily unable to speak, usually because something has shocked you.
例句：
Later today, I can only smile to myself speechless.
后来的现在，我只能对自己无语一笑。
Alex was almost speechless with rage and despair.
亚历克斯又生气又绝望，几乎说不出话来。
2. Bite back
Bite back直译为“咬回”，实际表示急忙收回自己要说的话，欲言又止的样子。
If you bite back a feeling or something that you were going to say, you stop yourself from expressing it.
用法：bite back (sth.) / bite (sth.) back
例句：
He wanted to tell her his real ideas, but he bit the words back.
他想对她说出自己真实的想法，可他还是没说出来。
A scream rose to her lips again. She had to bite it back.
她想尖叫，又不得不忍了回去。
3. (Have nothing / Don't have much) to say for oneself
这个短语表示“无话可说，无可辩驳；哑口无言”，在英语口语中表示“一言不发；总不开口”。
例句：
She doesn't have much to say for herself.
她自己无话可说。
4. Keep to yourself
表示不告诉别人，保守秘密或是不与别人有过多来往，不喜欢交际。
例句：
Nobody knows much about him; he keeps himself very much to himself.
谁都不了解他，他这人很少与人来往。
5. Be not on speaking terms (with somebody)
表示因为不愉快的事情而导致关系没有那么友好了。
例句：
She's not been on speaking terms with her uncle for years.
她已经好几年没再跟她叔叔说过话了。
6. Be lost for words
表示因为惊讶、困惑等不知道该说什么才好，无言以对的样子。
例句：
I was so surprised to see her that I was lost for words.

7. Not be on speaking terms (with somebody)
这个短语的意思是“因为还在生某人的气，不愿意跟他讲话”。它的肯定形式则表示发生争论后愿意友好地和某人讲话。

She's not been on speaking terms with her uncle for years.
她已经好几年没再跟她叔叔说过话了。
8. Lost for words
这个短语的意思是“有种没话说是因为不知所措。”。当你感到非常惊讶或困惑时，有时真的不知道该说什么好，这个短语说的就是这种情况。
例句：
I was so surprised to see her that I was lost for words.
