端午节假期国内旅游出游1.1亿人次

China saw 110 million domestic tourist trips made during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday, up 6.3 percent from the same period last year, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism said Monday.

文化和旅游部10日发布消息，今年端午三天假期国内旅游出游1.1亿人次，同比增长6.3%。

Domestic tourists spent 40.35 billion yuan (about 5.57 billion U.S. dollars) during the holiday from Saturday to Monday, up 8.1 percent year on year, according to the ministry.

端午假期期间，国内游客出游总花费403.5亿元人民币，同比增长8.1%。

Tourists are gravitating toward more flexible and personalized travel options, opting for leisurely-paced vacations, in-depth experiences, and ample relaxation. Yunnan, Qinghai, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, and Guizhou have emerged as the favored destinations for young travelers. These locations are particularly popular for road trips and summer retreats, the ministry said.

游客越来越偏爱选择灵活化、个性化的出游方式，在慢节奏旅行、深入体验、放松休闲中享受生活。云南、青海、甘肃、内蒙古、贵州等地成为年轻人自驾游、避暑游的热门选择。

Fu Bao, the first giant panda born in the Republic of Korea, met the public on Wednesday morning after returning to Southwest China's Sichuan province, the hometown of pandas.

6月12日，在韩国诞生的第一只大熊猫“福宝”在返回大熊猫的故乡四川后，与公众见面。

Dozens of visitors and international media waited for the panda star, before Fu Bao walked into the yard of her enclosure in the Shenshuping giant panda base of Wolong National Nature Reserve at 9:35 am, following two months of inspection, quarantine and adaptation.

经过2个多月的隔离检疫和过渡适应，12日9时35分，“福宝”在中国大熊猫保护研究中心卧龙神树坪基地，从内舍步入院子，与翘首期待的众多国内外媒体和游客们见面。

Northern China issues orange alert for high temperatures

As searing summer temperatures are forecasted in northern China, multiple localities having just experienced a scorching Dragon Boat Festival will likely suffer an extended heat wave until Friday. 

华北多地在经历了炎热的端午假期后，预计将持续高温至14日。

China's National Meteorological Center (NMC) maintained an orange alert, the second highest level, for high temperatures on Monday morning, forecasting a sustained round of scorching weather which will peak between Monday and Friday, with North China set to suffer from persistent high temperatures. North China's Hebei Province and East China's Shandong Province are set to embrace temperatures as high as 40℃. 

中央气象台6月10日上午继续发布高温橙色预警（Ⅱ级），预计10日至14日达到高温峰值，华北地区将持续遭受高温。河北、山东最高气温可达40℃。

According to the NMC, elevated temperatures of 35℃ or 36℃ descended on Beijing, the majority of Central China's Henan Province and Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with some places including the southern part of North China's Hebei Province, the northern and western parts of East China's Shandong Province and Turpan Basin in Xinjiang suffering sustained temperatures above 40℃.

北京、河南大部、新疆、河北南部等地有35～36℃高温天气，山东北部和西部、新疆吐鲁番盆地等地局地可达40℃以上。

Hunter Biden was convicted Tuesday of all three felony charges related to the purchase of a revolver in 2018 when, prosecutors argued, the president’s son lied on a mandatory gun-purchase form by saying he was not illegally using or addicted to drugs.

美国总统拜登的儿子亨特·拜登11日因三项涉及枪支的指控被判有罪，法院裁定亨特在2018年购枪时在购枪表格上谎称自己没有吸毒。

President Joe Biden said in a statement issued shortly after the verdict that he would accept the outcome and “continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal.”
