Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian died in a helicopter incident, media reported Monday.

据媒体20日报道，伊朗总统莱希、外长阿卜杜拉希扬在直升机事故中罹难。

Iran's Mehr news agency confirmed the deaths, reporting that "all passengers of the helicopter carrying the Iranian president and foreign minister were martyred."

A hard landing due to the bad weather happened to the helicopter carrying Raisi and other senior officials in the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan on Sunday.

At the ongoing seventh session of the 15th National Assembly (NA) of Vietnam, Lam won a majority of the parliamentary vote to become state president for the 2021-2026 tenure, according to Vietnam News Agency.

During the swearing-in ceremony, the newly elected president said he would strive and make every effort to fulfil the duties entrusted by the Party, the State, and the people.

Lin Huiyin awarded Bachelor of Architecture diploma from University of Pennsylvania

Lin Huiyin (1904-55), a pioneering Chinese architect and writer, was awarded a posthumous Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Weitzman School of Design of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, US on Saturday, local time. 

当地时间5月18日，位于美国费城的宾夕法尼亚大学韦茨曼设计学院追授中国著名建筑学家及作家林徽因（1904-55）建筑学学士学位。

The year 2024 marks the 120th anniversary of Lin's birth. At the 2024 Weitzman Commencement, the University of Pennsylvania officially awarded Lin a posthumous Bachelor of Architecture degree in recognition of her outstanding contributions as a pioneer of modern architecture in China.

2024年是林徽因诞辰120周年。在2024年韦茨曼设计学院的毕业典礼上，宾大正式向林徽因颁发了建筑学学士学位，以表彰她作为中国现代建筑先驱的卓越贡献。

Lin's granddaughter, Yu Kui, received the degree on her behalf a century later.

Peking University made waves with a unique course designed to combat student weight gain. "Physical Ability Enhancement: Exercise and Nutrition" boasts impressive results, with one-third of participants losing over 5 percent of their body weight and over half reducing their waist circumference by more than 5 centimeters.

北京大学日前开设了一门独特的“减肥课”，引起了不小的轰动。“让三分之一学生减重5%以上、半数学生腰围降低5公分以上”打响了《体能提升：运动与膳食》课程的名号。

The program specifically targets overweight and obese students, defined by a Body Mass Index (BMI) over 25.

这门课专门针对超重和肥胖的学生，只有BMI超过25的同学可以报名。

Obesity is generally measured using the body mass index (a person's weight in kilograms divided by the square of their height in meters). If the BMI exceeds 24, the person is considered overweight, and if it exceeds 28, this is considered obesity.

肥胖通常用身体质量指数来衡量（BMI，Body Mass Index，即体重除以身高的平方）。BMI如果超过24，会被判定为超重，一旦超过28，则被视为肥胖。

One of the original intentions of teacher Zhang Xiaoyuan in launching the course was to help students who are anxious about physical fitness testing. On the other hand, "I also opened this course to help everyone establish the correct health concept. Our enrollment requirement is BMI over 25, as long as the weight or body fat is within the normal range, it is considered a normal body shape. These students do not need to lose weight." Zhang also hopes that through this special and very clear enrollment requirement, those students who do not need to lose weight will correctly view their body shape."

这门课的主讲老师张晓园表示：“我开这门课也是想帮助（为体测）焦虑的同学行动起来，同时帮助大家树立正确的健康观念。我们的报名条件是BMI>25，只要体重或体脂在正常范围内，就属于正常身材，他们无需减肥。我也想帮助不需要减重的同学正确看待自己的身材。”
